Mary Bell Chaney

Mary Bell Chaney, 102, of Dover and formerly of New Philadelphia, passed away peacefully in the Community Hospice Truman House on April 8, 2017 following complications from a fall.
Born in Union Township on May 28, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Edith M. (Gundy) Rennicker.
After completing her education, she married her late husband, Ralph F. Chaney, who preceded her in passing on September 3, 1987.
Mary devoted her life to her family and church. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene where she participated with the ladies ministries of the church.
She will be deeply missed by her children including Carrie Abbuhl, Alice Llewellyn, and Dorothy Guy, all of New Philadelphia, and Charlotte (Junior) McRobie of Minerva, Charles Chaney of New Philadelphia, and Robert Chaney of Uhrichsville; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her sons-in-law, Donald Abbuhl, Sr., Jack Llewellyn, Charles Guy, and 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home on Thursday from 9:30 to 11 am, with a service beginning at 11 am. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Memory Garden at Dover.
