Mary B. Harding, of Dover, passed away peacefully October 4, 2015 in Hennis Care Center at Dover following a period of declining health.
Born in Guernsey County in 1920, she was the daughter of the late Rezin Basil and Maggie (Swaim) Harding.
A 1937 graduate of Freeport High School, Mary spent much of her life as mother and homemaker. She was also retired as an office worker for The Timken Company.
Mary is survived by her brother, Oscar Harding; son, William R. Harding; daughter, Anne (Norman) Zalewski; two grandsons; two granddaughters; seven great-granddaughters; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; as well as her long-time friends at the Wooster Road Church of God in Dover.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Florence Harding, Pearl Goode, Hazel Wright, and Violet Cunningham.
The family would like to extend appreciation and thanks to the wonderful staff at Hennis Care Centre in Dover who cared for her since 2010. A heartfelt thanks to all of those who have helped in so many ways over the years.
Visitation will be held at the Geib Funeral Center, 5600 N. Wooster Ave., Dover, on Thursday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. A service celebrating Mary’s life will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Seth Harding officiating. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit, Ohio later that afternoon.
