Mary Ann Altier

Mary Ann Altier, 72, of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, September 18, 2002, at Union Hospital, Dover, following an extended illness.Born January 1, 1930, in Midvale, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Skelley Pauline. Mary was a homemaker. She was also a member of Sacred Heart Church, New Philadelphia, Sacred Heart Alter Society, Sacred Heart Senior Citizens, and Central Catholic Mother’s Club.Surviving is her husband of 49 years, Louis J. Altier, of the home, whom she married September 12, 1953; daughter, Luanne Altier of New Philadelphia; son, Andrew (Lisa) Altier of Largo, Florida; three sisters, Veronica (Wayne) Cunningham of Midvale, Bertha Beans of Hilton Head, South Carolina, Frances Brown of Lake Forest, California; two brothers, Joseph (Sondra) Pauline of Dover and Charles (Shirley) Pauline of New Philadelphia; three grandchildren, Brittny Hinkley, Andrea Hinkley, Deven Altier.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marcella Pauline.A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 23, 2002, at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, New Philadelphia, with Msgr. George Schlegel as celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, New Philadelphia.
