Mary Alice McWilliams

Mary Alice McWilliams, age 68, of Dover, passed away peacefully Monday evening, September 26, 2011, in her home, following an extended illness. Born at Massillon, February 22, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Elmer Melvin and Lillian Florance Baemer Schultz.On September 30, 1961, she married Ron McWilliams, who survives and resides at Dover. The couple would have celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary this Friday. She’ll be remembered as a loving homemaker by her husband, as well as her daughters Lori Long and her husband Jim of New Philadelphia, and Rhonda McWilliams and her fiance John Beckley of Uhrichsville. Survivors also include her eight grandchildren; John (wife, Becky) Bargar, Mark Bargar, Jenny Bargar, J.R. Long, Shannon Long and Ron Long, all of New Philadelphia, and Jessica (husband, Charlie) Silver of Cleveland and Jason McWilliams of Uhrichsville. A sister Carol McDonald, of Dover and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.Mary was especially fond of spending time with her grandchildren and her special great-grandson, Calvin Bargar of New Philadelphia. When not busy tending to the needs of her family, Mary could be found cross-stitching and working crossword puzzles and working in her flower gardens. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her infant son Ronald Nelson McWilliams, Jr., a sister Donna McWilliams, and a brother Paul Schultz. Cremation will be conducted through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover with her family holding private services. There are no public calling hours.
