Mary Agnes Cline Buechele, age 89, of Gnadenhutten, died suddenly Friday evening in her residence. Born at Steubenville, Ohio, December 12, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Mary Condrin Elson. Mary was a homemaker her entire life, rearing eight children following the untimely death of her first husband. She did so with the strength and perseverance provided by her faith in her Creator. Her family will remember her for enjoyment of crocheting, cooking, and making crafts. She was always ready to laugh and have a good time. Later in life, she traveled extensively with her second husband, and delighted whenever the opportunity arose to travel to a new place. Mary was an outstanding bowler, and for many years was a member of the senior bowling league at Kinser Lanes. She was a familiar face at the former Dover Park School in the 1960’s when she worked as a cook in the school cafeteria. She leaves behind three daughters; Carol Gerber of New Philadelphia, Dorothy Landis of Dundee, and Rita (husband Bill) Foster of New Philadelphia, and a son; Ronald (wife Barb) Cline of Spearfish, South Dakota, two step-sons; Charles (wife Wilma) Buechele of Newbury, Ohio, and Delbert (wife Connie) Buechele of Ashland, Ohio. A sister, Margaret (husband John) Sabados of Brunswick, Ohio, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, complete the family. Mary is now in a better place, reunited with those who have gone before her, including husbands Howard Cline, and Charles Buechele, sons Howard Cline, Jr., Gary Cline, and Robert Cline, a daughter, Brenda Ripley, a step-son, Ronald Buechele, sons-in-law; Bill Gerber, Nelson Landis, a grandson, Brian Landis, and a granddaughter who died in infancy; Melissa Belknap. Two sisters; Grace Williams and Jean Travato, and two brothers; Robert Elson and Paul Elson, are also deceased. Friends are invited to call Tuesday afternoon, from 2-4 and from 6-8 PM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:28-31Geib Funeral Center at Dover330.343.5506www.geibcares.com
