Martha Jane Sever

Martha Jane (Grim) Sever, age 94, of Largo, Florida died, Saturday, October 18, 2014 in Tierra Pine Center at Largo, Florida.

Born on December 25, 1919, at Portsmouth Ohio, Jane was a daughter of the late Victor and Anna (Davis) Grim.

She graduated high school and continued her formal education at Ohio University where she received her Bachelors of Science in Education.

Jane married the late Robert Sever, ultimately retiring in Florida prior to his passing on April 6, 2007.

Jane was a past member of the Eastern Star, Wm. H. Hoover OES 580 in North Canton. She enjoyed attending church and was a member of Central Christian Church in Largo, Florida. She also enjoyed antique collecting, needle work, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Dean (Linda) Sever of Pinellas Park, Florida, Dr. David (Marlis) Sever of Hammond, Louisiana, Vickie Siegel of Newark, Ohio, Paula Sever of Largo, Florida; six grandchildren, Michael, Andrew, Philip, Robert, Dustin, and Wendy; seven great-grandchildren, Zoe, Quinn, Joseph, Nathan, Paul, Sydney and Addyson; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will greet guests on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Pastor Jim Borton will lead a service celebrating Jane’s life in the funeral home’s chapel at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
