Marsha Lynn Marsh

Marsha Lynn Marsh, age 58, of Schoenbrunn Healthcare, New Philadelphia, passed away peacefully early Friday morning, November 18, 2011, following a lengthy battle with early onset Alzheimer’s disease. Born at Wheeling, West Virginia, December 23, 1952, she was a daughter of Richard Walton Henry of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and the late Juanita Pearl Postlewaite Henry. A 1971 graduate of Garaway High School, where her classmates will remember her as a cheerleader, she went on to attend Mount Union College before returning to the area. Marsha earned the nickname “Big Dipper” when she served ice cream at the Goshen Dairy Store, and later worked as a teacher’s aide in Miller Avenue Elementary School at Sugarcreek. Survivors, in addition to her father, include her step-mother; Phyllis Henry of St. Clairsville, Ohio, a daughter; Kimberly Marsh of New Philadelphia, and two sons; Jeremy (wife, Lacey) Marsh of Sugarcreek and Andrew Marsh, also of Sugarcreek. A granddaughter, Serenity Marsh of Sugarcreek, and two brothers, Michael Henry (companion Lisa Burgess) of New Philadelphia and Douglas (wife, Mary) Henry of Dover also survive. Numerous nieces and nephews complete the family. Friends are invited to call Monday afternoon from 4-7PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Pastor Larry Smithwick will lead Marsha’s funeral service Tuesday morning at 10 AM in the funeral homes chapel. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio.
