Mark Alan Moore, 56, of Uhrichsville, passed away July 30, 2013 in his home following complications with his late onset of juvenile diabetes.
Born February 2, 1957 in Dennison, he is the son of Francis E. Moore and the late Beverly J. (Kennison) Moore.
After graduating from Indian Valley High School, Mark joined the United States Air Force where he honorably serviced his country as a fire truck repairman at Andrews Air Force Base.
He was a very talented mechanic throughout his lifetime. He owned Mark’s Auto Repair and served many community members over the years.
Mark loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Many wonderful memories were made at Paradise Lake where he greatly enjoyed fishing and camping. Mark also loved to garden and care for his cats and dogs
He will be deeply missed by his father; his two children, Elizabeth “Beth” (boyfriend, Michael Chesser) Wallace of Uhrichsville and Shawn (Camille) Moore of Tuscon, Arizona; his grandchildren, Renee (Cory) Hockenberry, Allison and Charlie Wallace, and Leland and Ariel Moore; and his sister and brother, Donna (Rick) Kenner and David Moore.
In addition to his mother, Mark was preceded in death by an infant sister, Bonnie; and his sister, Lori Hanlon.
Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. A service celebrating Mark’s life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday beginning at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia where the New Philadelphia V.F.W. Post #1445 will render military honors.
Friends are invited to the Geib Family Center following the committal service where a meal will be shared.
