Marjorie C. Lantzer, 93, of Dover, died peacefully, on Friday, April 08, 2016, in New Dawn Retirement Center at Dover following a period of declining health.
Born on February 12, 1923, at Dover, Marge was a daughter of the late Frank and Ethel (Barnes) Hanks.
She attended Dover High School and on October 5, 1940 married Paul Lantzer, who preceded her in death. Marge loved caring for her family, being with her grandchildren, enjoying the company of her cat, Snoopy, and reading. Marge also loved her extended family at New Dawn and being involved with the numerous resident activities.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen Goudy of New Philadelphia and Susan (Gary) Limbacher of Dover; four grandchildren, Becky (Jeff) Zeigler, Jay Goudy, Debbie Edwards all of Dover and Keith Limbacher of New Philadelphia; 10 great-grandchildren, Jessi, Cale, and Jenna Zeigler, Liza Jane, Maggie and Grace Goudy, Logan Martin and Emili Edwards; two great-great-grandchildren, Brantly and Brystal Zeigler and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Marge was preceded in death by her brothers, Arnold, George, William, Conrad, Herbert, and Robert Hanks and a sister, May Hanks.
In keeping with Marge’s wishes, private graveside services in Ridgecrest Memorial Gardens will take place following cremation care.
