Marion Degen

Marion J. Degen, age 87, of New Philadelphia, died on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital.

He was born March 21, 1937, in Stone Creek, Ohio, the son of the late Homer and Esther (Doll) Degen.

Marion proudly served in the US Army. He retired from Flemming Foods after many years of service in their Maintenance Department. He enjoyed going out to eat and spending time at home with his cats.

On June 29, 1974 he married the former Marjorie Kopp and together they enjoyed 44 years of marriage before her passing in October of 2018.

Marion is survived by his God Daughter, Paula Sue Rose; her family, Tiffani (Chase) Weller, Cameron Brown, Michael (Khloe) Brown, Tamara (Hunter) Corbett and 9 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; and sister, Rosemary Yoder.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
