Marilyn K. Beorn

Marilyn K. (Bunny) Beorn, 59, of New Philadelphia, began her glorious new life with Jesus on September 28, 2004 after her courageous 2-1/2-year battle with cancer. Her non-wavering faith was a strength and inspiration for family and friends alike. Along with the titles of Wife, Mother and Grandmother, she was lovingly known by her family as “Grammy, Ole Girl, Henner and the Fiesty Rabbit”.

Marilyn was born January 26, 1945 at Twin City Hospital in Dennison to the late Harry Martin and Lela Covert Fouts. She was an active member of the First Assembly of God in Uhrichsville. She lived to enjoy attending the many activities of her children and grandchildren. Her other interests included scrapbooking, listening to music, singing with the worship team, shopping and home decorating.

Surviving are her husband William Beorn, whom she married on April 14, 1984; her three daughters and sons-in-laws, Kristal and Carl Patterson, Cynthia and Eric Henry, and Tammi and Todd Ripley. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Trent Patterson, Tyler Ivory, Mason and Chad Henry, Courtney, Lucas, MaKenzie and Whitney Ripley; a brother and his wife, Ralph and Mary Jo Fouts; one sister, Mrs. Josephine Conway; sister-in-law, Ruthie Fouts; six step-sisters, Sarah Cornell, Jennifer Moreno, Marilyn Buscher, Sandra Balder, Diana Yoakam and JoAnn Kaser; one step-brother, Andy Akey; many nieces and nephews; her church family; and her kittens, Tazzy and Tigger.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her Step-mother, Helen E. Wills Fouts, step-father, Albert E. Akey, brother, Robert W. Fouts, sister-in-law, Margie Beorn, brother-in-law, Harold Conway and loving cat, Casper, who comforted her during her treatments.

In keeping with her wishes, there are no calling hours. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2004 at 5:00 PM at the First Assembly of God, located on the corner of Seventh and Gorley Streets in Uhrichsville.
