Marilee Ellis Reilly Richter, age 82, of New Philadelphia and formerly of Maine and Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, October 21, 2010 in Amberwood Manor at New Philadelphia.Born in North Scituate, Massachusetts on September 30, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Bailey and Christine (Bullard) Ellis. After graduating from high school, Marilee continued her formal education at both Vassar College and the former Carnegie Tech studying dramatic arts. Throughout her lifetime, she greatly enjoyed performing in and directing theatrical productions. Marilee was also a gifted singer.She was an active member of the Lincoln Arts Festival in Boothbay Harbor, Maine for more than 25 years, the Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club, the Bach choir of Pittsburgh, and the Bear Rocks Community Center. Her love for Maine was present throughout her lifetime. Many family memories were made there; a love which she passed along to her family also.She will be deeply missed by her children including Mark Reilly of Waynesboro, PA; Christine (Ernie) Odorisio of Conneaut Lake, PA; and Kevin Reilly of Dover, O.; her step-children, Jim (Betsy) Richter of Bethel Park, PA and Sue (David) Kiger of Allison Park, PA; her special nephew, Bob (Georgia) Kingsley of Brooklyn Heights, NY; 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, Marilee was preceded in death by her step-father, Dayton Henry; her two husbands, Thomas J. Reilly and William A. Richter; and her two brothers, Walter and David Ellis.No public visitation or services are scheduled. Cremation will take place through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.Memorial contributions in Marilee’s memory may be directed to the Lincoln Arts Festival, P.O.
