Marie Therese Scalambrino

Marie Therese Scalambrino, 81, of New Philadelphia, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021 in Barberton Hospital following a recent period of declining health.

A daughter of the late John Leo and Margaret Ann (Lab) Lawless, Marie was born October 27, 1939 at Dover, Ohio.

Marie graduated from St. Joseph’s High School at Dover in 1958. She was catholic by faith and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia.

She enjoyed flower gardening as well as reading and crossword puzzles. Marie was also an avid watcher of Judge Judy on television.

She is survived by her children, Bernadette Lawless of Clyde, Ohio, Sally (Ron) Dotts of New Philadelphia, Charmaine (Nick) Patuto of Dover, Joni (Harold) James of New Philadelphia and Dr. Frank Scalambrino, PhD of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mary Lou (Tom) Hutras of Dover.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Germaine Lawless and Joan Martin and two brothers, Neal and Tom Lawless.

In keeping with Marie’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Inurnment will take place privately in Calvary Cemetery at Dover.
