Marie Therese Raiser

Marie Therese Raiser, 81, formerly of New Philadelphia, was peacefully taken home by Our Lord on Saturday, November 15, 2008.Marie Therese was born October 10, 1927 to Oliver John and Blanche DeLisle Barrow in Maumee, Ohio. The family moved to Columbus, Ohio where she grew up and met the love of her life Charles “Chic” Raiser, whom she married in September of 1950. Charles and Marie moved to New Philadelphia, Ohio in 1972 where they were active members of Sacred Heart Parish for over 30 years. After Charles’ death in June of 2007 Marie Therese moved to North Lima, Ohio.She will be greatly missed by her children, Rita Carter of Palm Springs, CA, Mary Ann (Dean) Wilson of Boardman, Ohio, Thomas (Nada) Raiser of Liberty Corner, New Jersey, Angela (Christopher) McNeill of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Susan (Eric) Ragusa of Duncansville, Pennsylvania; 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren, and many dear friends.Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Chic and a son, Jerry Raiser. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday November 18, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church at New Philadelphia with Monsignor George Schlegel officiating.
