Marian Maxine Lahm, 86, of Tuscarawas, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013 in Beacon Point Health Care Center at Uhrichsville following a period of declining health.
A daughter of the late Otis and Essie (O’Brien) Simmons, Marian was born September 5, 1926 at Goshen, Ohio.
Marian was a 1944 graduate of Tuscarawas Warwick High School. On May 7, 1949, she married Phillip E. Lahm and together they raised a daughter, Patricia. The couple shared 59 years of marriage prior to Phillip’s passing on March 16, 2009.
She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church at Tuscarawas and was retired from Hart’s Family Center where she worked as a Sales Clerk.
Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Dana Moore of Tuscarawas; two granddaughters, Rachelle (Tom) Willis of Bolivar and Lindsay (Kevin) Herron of Strasburg; two great granddaughters, Kennedy Willis and Delanee Herron and an expectant great grandchild; a sister, Jane Couts of Dover and several nieces and nephews.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Martha Mathias and a brother, Otis Simmons Jr.
In keeping with Marian’s wishes, private family services will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia and interment will take place in East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
