Marian M. Prysi

Marian M. (Kaderly) Prysi, age 89 of Dover died early Saturday, December 06, 2014, in Park Village Health Care Center.

A daughter of the late Homer and Amelia “Millie” (Kappeler) Kaderly, Marian was born at New Philadelphia, on February 14, 1925.

She was a 1943 graduate of the former Sugarcreek-Shanesville High School and on November 1, 1949, married Joe V. Prysi. As they raised their family, Marian stayed home with the children and helped Joe in the operation of their family farm. The couple celebrated 41 years of marriage prior to Joe’s passing on May 3, 1991.

Marian was a longtime member of the Sugarcreek First United Church of Christ and a member of the Brandywine, Pomona, and Ohio State Granges.

She is survived by her daughter, Peggy (Robert) Jones of Dundee; two sons, Jerry (Dale) Prysi of Dover, and Roger Prysi of Newcomerstown; her grandchildren, Michael Prysi of Dover, Eric (Shelly) Prysi of New Philadelphia, Amy (Kyle) Hicks of Virginia, Matt Watkins of North Carolina, Bobby Jones III of Newton, Kansas, Tara Jones and Kari Jones both of Dundee, Elizabeth (Scott) Nawrot of West Lafayette and Robert Prysi of Newcomerstown and three great grandchildren, Tristen and Marlie Watkins and Lillie Jones.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marian was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred and four brothers, Wilmer, Russell, Curtis and Raymond.

The family will greet guests on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. A funeral service celebrating Marian’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Eric Rummel and Rev. Cynda Lenarz officiating. Burial in Union Hill Cemetery will follow. Following services, a meal will be shared in the social hall of the Sugarcreek First United Church of Christ.
