Marian HuppMarian Alice Hupp, 91, of Dover, died Wednesday, September 5, 2007, one day shy of her 92nd birthday, at Briar Hill Health Campus in North Baltimore, Ohio.Marian was born September 6, 1915, in Union Twp., Tuscarawas County to the late George Smitley and Grace Seibert Smitley Krieger.She married Brady F. Hupp, Sr. on March 9, 1935 and together they raised a family of four children. Brady preceded her in death in 1993. Marian was a long time member of the Dover Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, currently the Dover Alliance Church.She is survived by a daughter, Susan (George) Naugle, of Van Buren, O.; sons, Brady F. (Maxine) Hupp, Jr., of New Philadelphia, James A. (Linda) Hupp, of New Philadelphia and Thomas E. Hupp, of Dover; grandchildren, Amber Hupp, of Dover, Belinda (Rick) Byrd, of Mayville, MI, Angela (J.R.) Biddle, of Dover, Brian F. Hupp, of Dover, Wendy (Greg) Watkins, of New Philadelphia, Jason R. Hupp, of Newark, O., Jennifer (Troy) Poole, of Dover, Jodi Hupp, of Dover, Christopher (Amy) Naugle, of North Baltimore, O. and Tiffanie (Andy) Rader, of Van Buren, O.; a sister, Opal Such, of Dover; a brother, George Krieger, of New Philadelphia and 15 great grandchildren.Marian was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; sisters, Bessie Baker, Annie Dotts, and Wanda Beaber; brothers, George, Louis, Tom, Eugene and David Smitley and Edward Krieger and a granddaughter.Visitation is (today) Friday, September 7, 2007, at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia from 2:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Pastor Tim Steiner will conduct Services on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the New Philadelphia funeral home’s chapel. Burial will be beside her husband in Dover Burial Park. A memorial reception will follow the committal in the Hospitality Room of the Geib Funeral Center at Dover, across the street from the cemetery.
