Margarete Renneckar, 54, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, October 13, 2005 at her home.A daughter of Emil and Anna (Schreiner) Goettl, Margarete was born June 16, 1951 in Wolfenbuttel, West Germany.She was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Philadelphia. She sang in the Women’s Chorus as well as the Emmanuel Choir and was a member of the Rebecca Circle. Margarete also enjoyed reading and music.She is survived by her husband, Jerry Renneckar, whom she married on June 16, 1974 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Philadelphia; one daughter, Krista Renneckar of Dayton, Ohio; one son, Kevin Renneckar of Springfield, Ohio; her parents, Emil and Anna of Akron; one sister, Gudrun (Thomas) Burse of Vermilion, Ohio; one brother, Johann (Sharon) Goettl of Louisville, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Nancy Renneckar of Columbus; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Margaret and Eugene Renneckar.Visitation will be Sunday, October 16, 2005, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia with Emmanuel Lutheran Church Council service at 5:50 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2005 at 10 a.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Michael Walters officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia. Following the services, a luncheon will be held in the fellowship hall of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.Memorial contributions may be made in Margarete’s name to the music fund at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 202 East High Avenue, New Philadelphia, Oh 44663.
