Margaret McEwan Rowan Moose
Maggie went to her Heavenly Home on February 26, 2014 after a period of declining health at the age of 83.
Born on November 10, 1930, Maggie graduated from Edison High School in 1947 in Gary, Indiana.
Maggie was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ellen (McEwan) Rowan. She was a homemaker and in her later years worked as a cook at Star Nursing Home and Crestview Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Ellen McEwan Rowan, a brother James Rowan and sister in law Jean Rowan, Brother in Law and Sister in law Rev. Robert and Florence Deal, Her husband Dwaine Moose, and first husband and father of her children, Rev. Donald H. Ralston.
She will be missed very much by her children, Susan (Gene) Webster of New Philadelphia, Barbara (Darlene Valiant) of Houston, Texas, Tom (Cindy) of Rocklin Ca., Joellen (Kevin)Pope of Napa, Ca.
Five Grandchildren, Abbey(LT. Coronel James)Embry, Weisbaden Germany, Amanda(Nate)Harding of Charleston, SC, Alex Pope, Napa Calif., Nicholas Pope of San Francisco, Ca., Rowan Ralston, Chico ,Ca., Allen Ralston of Rocklin, Calif.. Also five Great Grandchildren who called her “Grammy Goose”, Cayla Harding, Sam Embry, Jack Embry, Ashley Harding, and McKennah Embry. Four nephews, Larry Rowan of Chicago, Il., Mark Rowan of Sarasota, Fla., Craig Deal of Chicago, Il., and Lance Deal. Maggie leaves behind her canine friend Charlie and many friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Beacon House, Forrest Hill Care Center, East Ohio Regional Hospital third floor staff, Dr. Richard Ryncarz, and Amedisys Hospice Service for their very special care and love shown to our Mother.
Following Maggie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no public services.
