Margaret Jane “Peg” Gindlesberger, 85, of Millersburg, died Friday, June 24, 2011 in Walnut Hills Nursing Home at Walnut Creek.A daughter of the late Walter and Mae (Lautenschleger) Haxton, Peg was born October 14, 1925 at Millersburg, Ohio.Peg graduated from Millersburg High School in 1943 and then graduated from the Wooster Business School. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church at Dover. Additionally she was a former employee of Dr. Stouffer’s office at Millersburg, Millersburg Tire, Holmes County Clerk of Courts and Holmes-Wayne REA. Peg married the love of her life, Clyde Gindlesberger, July 5, 1947. Together the couple reared one son, and would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary next month. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and making crafts. After Clyde’s retirements, they enjoyed living in Bradenton, Florida.Peg is survived by her husband, Clyde of Walnut Hills, her son, John (Sandra) Gindlesberger, of Millersburg; a grandson, Hans (Soyeon) Gindlesberger; one great granddaughter, Eva Gindlesberger all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and a number of nieces and one nephews.Peg was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Burgett and a brother, Robert Haxton.In keeping with Peg’s wishes there will be no public visitation or services. Cremation will be conducted through Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover.Memorial contributions in Peg’s memory may be directed to Holmes County Hospice 931 Wooster Road Millersburg, Ohio 44654.
