Margaret E. Watson, age 89, of New Philadelphia, went to be with the Lord Sunday, September 13, 2015, in Schoenbrunn Healthcare Center following a period of declining health.
A daughter of the late Arthur and Ivey Brown Jones, Margaret was born at Coshocton, Ohio on April 20, 1926.
She was a member of the Crooked Run United Methodist Church and through the years greatly enjoyed the time she spent on her mini farm, where she raised a number of various livestock animals. She greatly enjoyed the time she spent working at Canton Wholesale Flowers, the former Endres Floral Greenhouse and ultimately retired from Floral Packaging at Dover.
She is survived by her sons, Howard D. (Kay) Watson of New Philadelphia and Kenneth E. Watson of Newcomerstown; her grandchildren; two sisters, Orletta Russell of Florida and Dorothy Hustead of Columbus; two brothers, Walter Jones of Coshocton and Arthur Jones of Killbuck.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Russell E. Watson whom she married on November 22, 1942 and passed on February 18, 1990.
Cremation care has been arranged by Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory. A memorial service celebration Margaret’s life will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at 12:30 PM in the Holmes United Methodist Church where a meal and fellowship will follow.
