Margaret Anna Price

Margaret Anna Price, 83, of Sherrodsville, passed away Tuesday morning, June 28, 2005 at Union Hospital in Dover.Born March 6, 1922 in Dover, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Kipfstuhl) Lab. After finishing her education, Margaret married Vernon E. Price in December of 1940. Together, they raised five children. Margaret later worked as a saw operator for Alsco Co. in Sugarcreek. In addition to her love for crocheting, she also greatly enjoyed quilting. Margaret was a member of the First United Methodist Church in New Philadelphia.Margaret will be greatly missed by her family which includes her four sons, Robert (Sharon) Price, and Martin (Diane) Price, both of New Philadelphia, Arthur (Cheryl) Price of Canton, and Calvin “Rocky” (Vicki) Price of Sherrodsville; a sister, Theresa Battista; a brother, Ivor (Josephine) Lab of Winfield; 14 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband who died June 5, 1967, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret; one sister and three brothers; and one great-grandchild.At Margaret’s request, cremation is being conducted locally through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A public memorial service will be held on Friday, July 1, 2005, at 5:00 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church at New Philadelphia. A reception, hosted by Margaret’s church family, will follow the service in the church fellowship hall.
