Margaret Ann Gibb Renner moved into the more immediate presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia.
Born on August 4, 1941 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Alma M (Heston) Gibb.
She attended Wooster Highway School and graduated from Dover High School in 1959.
Margaret married her husband, Clarence Dean Renner on September 20, 1970.
She loved to create works of art; knitting, sewing, cross-stitching, quilting – anything with a needle and thread. She was also very active in supporting her children and grandchildren in their activities. Margaret’s faith was nurtured at Schoenbrunn Community Moravian Church where she was an active member.
Margaret is survived by her son, Eric (Katie) Renner of Hawley, Minnesota; her daughter, Melissa (Ron) Martin of Tuscarawas; brothers, James (Sandra) Gibb of Dover, Don (Nancy) Gibb of New Philadelphia, and Jerry (Gloria) Gibb of Akron; sister-in-law, Carolyn Becknell of Minerva; grandchildren, Chloe and Paige Martin of Tuscarawas; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, James and Millie, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Dean in 1984.
Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. A service celebrating Margaret’s life will be held in Schoenbrunn Community Moravian Church on Thursday beginning at 10:30 am with visitation one hour prior to the service in the church. Following the service, a meal will be shared in the church social hall. Burial will take place in Ridgecrest Memory Garden at Dover Thursday at 2 p.m.
