Margaret Alma “Peg” Wolfe, 96, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013, in New Dawn Health Care Center at Dover.
Born December 22, 1916 in Tippecanoe, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Menie Dennis.
Peg was a lifelong resident of New Philadelphia and worshiped at the First Church of the Brethren throughout her life. She also worked at the former Montgomery Wards for 35 years and continued to share her time and talents with Union Hospital for 25 years, where she was a volunteer.
Other memberships included the Moose Lodge, the V.F.W., the Elks, and the Eagles, where she was a lifetime member and past president.
Peg is survived by her son, Dale (Cecelia) Wolfe, Jr. of Flushing, Michigan; her sister, Mary West of New Philadelphia; her brother, Floyd Dennis of New Philadelphia; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Wolfe, Sr.; her son, Dennis Wolfe; and her sisters, Hilda Betche and Clare Bradshaw; her brother, Darold Dennis; and her long-time companion, George Christner.
Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Tuesday, June 18 from 5 to 7 p.m. A service will immediately follow beginning at 7 p.m. with Pastor Max Canfield officiating.
A reception will immediately follow the service in the Geib Family Center, located adjacent to the funeral home.
Private burial will be held in Evergreen Burial Park.
Peg’s family is most appreciative to the staff at New Dawn for their loving, friendly, helpful care.
