Margaret Ann Boich Weaver, 84, of 238 Ohio Ave., NW, New Philadelphia, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 7:49 AM, surrounded by her loving family, following a very courageous battle with cancer. Born September 12, 1920 in Fairpoint, Ohio, Margaret was the daughter of the late Melvin George “Mike” Boich and Mary Giba Belus Boich.During her high school career at Dover High School, Margaret was president of the National Honor Society, active in the French Club, voted “personality queen” and chosen to preside as the “spirit of education” at the first outside ceremony in Dover Stadium for her 1938 graduation. After high school, her love of accounting led her to the State Savings Bank in Dover. From there, she assisted her parents at the Dover Bus Station, which they owned and operated. She then continued her career at the Weaver Motor Car Company in Dover where she met her late husband, Paul. They married on March 28, 1951 and together owned and operated Paul Weaver Buick-Cadillac, Inc. in New Philadelphia for 32 years. Margaret and Paul enjoyed traveling extensively with the National Automobile Dealers Association. She was also very active in her children’s lives having served as a Cub Scout, Brownie and Girl Scout leader, along with numerous other activities and committees while her children were in school. Margaret was a 55-year member of the Union Country Club in Dover where she was active in the Women’s Golf Association. She was also an active member in the Union Hospital Auxiliary, and enjoyed camaraderie with her bridge club. Margaret’s gift to her family by instilling high standards and morals, her courage and strength, especially through her difficult battle with cancer, along with her wonderful memories, will always be an inspiration for her loving family in keeping her beautiful spirit very much alive in their hearts. Margaret was a avid Cleveland Indians fan, and especially relished in learning of her grandson’s many accomplishments and watching him play baseball as a pitcher in addition to his passion for the game of golf. Margaret also enjoyed the companionship of her grandson’s little Shih Tzu dog, Scottie. Margaret will be greatly missed by her son, Paul V. Weaver, Jr. of New Philadelphia; her daughter, Barbara Weaver Scott (Mark Sr.) of Wilkshire Hills; her grandson, which was her pride and joy, Mark W. Scott, Jr. of Wilkshire Hills; and her sister, Helen Boich Souers (Robert) of Dover. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Paul V. Weaver, Sr, and her brother, Voin “Butch” Boich. Her loss will be felt as a loving and cherished mother, grandmother, sister and aunt by her family, and as a great friend by everyone who knew her. Margaret’s legacy of love and her wonderful qualities of charisma and class, perfectionism, articulation and organization will forever be etched in her family’s mind. Calling hours will be held from 12 to 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. A Catholic Mass celebrating Margaret’s life will begin at 1:30 pm at the Sacred Heart Church in New Philadelphia, where she was a lifelong member, with Father Ed Keck officiating. Interment will take place in the Dover Burial Park. Following the committal service, a reception will be held at the Geib Center in Dover, across from the burial park. The family encourages memorial contributions in celebration of Margaret’s life to be made to Sacred Heart Church, 139 Third St. NE, New Philadelphia, Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 W.
