Mae E. Tidrick

Mae E. “Tootsie” Tidrick, 61, of Freeport, died Thursday evening, March 17, 2005 at James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, surrounded by all of her family.Born June 10, 1943 in Holloway, Ohio, Mae was a daughter of Clara H. (Blake) Jones and the late James A. Jones.Tootsie spent much of her time in her garden, tending especially to her roses. She also loved to be with her grandchildren.Together with her husband, the late Clarence Tidrick who died in 2003, they raised five children, all who survive including three daughters, Theresa Tidrick of Freeport and Sheri and Crystal Tidrick, both of Cleveland; two sons, David (Rose) Tidrick and Jaime (Melissa) Tidrick, both of Freeport; grandchildren, Nathan Halsey, Cassandra Daniels, Rachel Chapman, Autumn Tidrick, Ambur Tidrick, and Shane Tidrick; five brothers, Larry, Jerry, Robert, James, and Roy Jones; and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.In keeping with Tootsie’s wishes, cremation will be conducted locally through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will announce a gathering to celebrate Tootsie’s life at a later date.The family requests that memorial contributions be given in remembrance on Tootsie to the Arthritis Foundation, 4767 Highbee Avenue NW, Canton, OH, 44718.
