Lydia Colombo

Lydia Colombo, 93, of Roswell, died April 6, 2007, in Schoenbrunn Health Care at New Philadelphia. A daughter of the late William and Hanna Gladstone, Lydia was born August 14, 1913, in West Wheeling, Ohio. Lydia was a member of the former St. Elizabeth Church of Roswell.In addition to her parents, Lydia was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Colombo Sr.; son, Tom Colombo; infant daughter, Mary Lou Colombo; brothers, Tom Gladstone, Adam Gladstone, Web Gladstone; sisters, Mary Cheslock, and Peg Kirkendall.She is survived by her children, John A. Colombo of New Philadelphia, Anthony DiGenova of Texas, Web (Faye) DiGenova of Hilton Head, South Carolina; daughter-in-law, Sandy Colombo of Tuscarawas, Ohio; 16 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; and twin sister, Lotti Cargnel of Dover, Ohio.Friends are invited to call on Monday, April 9, 2007, 5:00-8:00 pm in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia, where Christian Wake service will be held at 5:00 pm. Fr. Bill Arnold will celebrate Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
