Lura M. Peterman

Lura Marie “Jodee” Peterman, died peacefully Saturday, June 07, 2014 while in the care of Community Hospice House following a brief illness.

Born at Carmi, Illinois on September 5, 1941, Jodee, as she was known to family and friends, was a daughter of the late Earl and Vonda (Bingman) Boehringer.

For the past 28 years, Jodee has been a dedicated employee of New Dawn Retirement Community at Dover where she was loved by patients and co-workers alike. She enjoyed spending time with her family, being with her co-workers and caring for her dachshund, Heidi.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Jim, whom she married on November 22, 1985; her two children, Doug (Debbie) Simmons and Sherry Simmons and two grandchildren, Brandon and Brianna all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Jodee was pleased to have everyone around her during the past few days of her illness and her family wishes to thank those who joined together to be with her and show their support.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public visitation or services. Cremation care will be through Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.

In gratitude of the care Jodee received, her family wishes for memorial contributions in her name be directed to Community Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
