Luetta Jean Keffer

Luetta Jean Keffer, 84, of Midvale, died Sunday, January 20, 2013 in New Dawn Retirement Community at Dover follow a period of declining health.

A daughter of the late Fred White and the late Irene (Wilson) Korns, Luetta was born February 2, 1928 at Wainwright, Ohio.

Luetta was a member of New Life Center Ministries at Barnhill. Over the years she was employed at various businesses including, LaFountain’s and Hart’s Department Stores and the Dutch Oven Restaurant. She enjoyed assisting her late husband, Ray, with construction projects as well as mowing the lawn with her riding mower. In her younger years, she enjoyed cooking and baking.

She is survived by her children, Jamie Keffer of Uhrichsville, Patty (Andy) Yoder of Baltic, Mike Edwards of Johnson City, Tennesse, Randi May and Tim (Barb) Edwards both of New Philadelphia and Shelley Koerber of Midvale; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren with one expectant grandchild; a sister-in-law, Mildred “Miki” Natoli of Uhrichsville and many nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Kenneth Metzger of Lynchburg, Tennessee.

Luetta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Lee Keffer and a sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Robert Metzger.

In keeping with Luetta’s wishes there will be no public calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover.
