Lucille Jane Granato

Lucille Jane (Garabrandt) Granato, 92, of New Philadelphia passed away peacefully in the Community Hospice House on December 19, 2013.
Born April 19, 1921 in New Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas H. and Eliza Jane (Medley) Garabrandt, Sr.
After completing her formal education at New Philadelphia, she spent her lifetime as a homemaker.
She did enjoy her close friendship with her sister, the late Mary Hess. Lucille also liked watching television and listening to music.
Lucille’s family includes her children, Tom (Bonni) Granato and Pat Proper, both of New Philadelphia; her brother, Richard Garabrandt of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, David Proper of New Philadelphia, John Granato of Nevada, Rob Granato of New Philadelphia, and Scott (fiancé, Susan Penick) Granato of Dover; great-grandchildren Leaha, Dominic, and Brenden Granato of Newcomerstown, and Brooklyn Granato of Columbus; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lucille was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 6 brothers.
A service will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Monday beginning at 2:30 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
