Lucille E. Locker, age 96, of New Dawn Retirement Community at Dover, died Tuesday, January 15, 2008.Lucille was born at Midvale, Ohio on June 23, 1911 to the late Frank and Clara (Page) Newton.She attended school at Midvale and later married Ralph Locker who preceded her in death in 1978.Lucille was a passionate homemaker who was famous for her homemade breads and cinnamon rolls. For many years, Mrs. Locker cleaned the office and home Dr. Vincent Nipple.Mrs. Locker is survived by a son, Francis Locker of Virginia; three sisters, Anna Dinoi of Dover, Evelyn Newton of Dover, and Mary Heid of Dundee. Completing the family are seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson, and three step grandchildren.In addition to her parents, and husband; two sisters, one brother, a daughter, Grace Graham and one grandchild precede Lucille in death.The family will receive friends on Friday, January 18, 2008 from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Lucille’s life will follow at 2 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel with Pastor Scot Caley officiating.
