Lucille E. Fisher

Lucille E. Fisher, 87, died peacefully Sunday evening, March 23, 2003 at New Dawn Health Care Center in Dover where she’d been a resident for the past fifteen years. Lucille was born May 22, 1915 in North Lawrence, OH, a daughter of the late Luke, Sr. and Tracie Grosjean Overton. On November 28, 1935 she married Dale V. Fisher. The couple had two children who survive, son Richard R. and his wife Jessica Fisher of New Philadelphia and daughter, Marilyn K. and husband Robert Stutz, also of New Philadelphia. Lucille and Dale were members of the First Christian Church where they were involved in many church activities. Dale died in 1981. Lucille will be remembered for her skill at baking cookies, pies, and cakes. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially babysitting her grandchildren. In addition to her children, she is survived by grandchildren, Malissa and her husband Tim Fox, Brian and his wife Carolyn Stutz and Brent and his wife Melissa Stutz; great grandchildren, Nathanael and Rachael Stutz, Ryan and Emily Stutz; sister, Evelyn Polilli of New Philadelphia; brother, Harry and his wife Midge Overton of Dover. A sister, Arline and a brother, Luke, also preceded her in death. Calling hours will be Wednesday, March 26, 2003, 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home. The funeral will be in the funeral home on Thursday, March 27, 2003 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jim Borton officiating. Lucille will then be buried alongside her husband at Evergreen Burial Park. Following the committal a reception will be given in the Geib Family Center. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4815 Munson St., NW, Canton, OH 44718.
