From a basement kitchen built just for her decades ago, Lucille has touched the hearts of family, friends, neighbors, veterans and even the city sanitation workers — who weekly could count on getting a plate of cookies made just for them wrapped neatly atop the evergreen bush on the side of the house. Her generosity did not end at the kitchen door. She recently completed more than one hundred hand made blankets for Project Linus, and hundreds of small toy mice for the Cats-N-Us shelter at New Philadelphia. A devoted mother and grandmother and wife, she enjoyed vacations and cruises with her family and extended friends. For more than four decades, weekends and summers were spent at Sunset Valley on Atwood Lake where Lucille loved to swing on the swing and sit around the campfire. She was a member at Otterbein United Methodist Church for more than fifty years where she formerly taught Sunday School, and lead the Campfire Girls.
