Lowell Curtis Ellington, Sr.

Lowell Curtis Ellington, 62, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, December 17, 2015 in Union Hospital at Dover following a period of declining health.

A son of the late Lowell Marion and Anise Roberta (Spargrove) Ellington, Curtis was born February 4, 1953 at Canton, Ohio.

Curtis was a veteran of the United States Army and he was a long time employee of the Timken Company at Canton.

He is survived by his wife, Donna (Fravel) Ellington whom he married on April 29, 1972; a son, Lowell (Shelly) Ellington, Jr of Canton.; his daughter, Christina (Jon) Braun of New Philadelphia; a grandson, Jacen Ellington; two great grandsons, Hunter and Zander Ellington and three sisters, Mary Stanley of Athens, Dolores Hatcher of West Virginia and Bonnie Brammer of Barberton.

In keeping with Lowell’s wishes there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.
