Louis G. “Sonny” Bolon, 55, of Dover, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 04, 2006 in University Hospital Medical Center of Cleveland following complications from a bone marrow transplant.A son of Ann (Uhart) Redovian of Amsterdam, Ohio and the late Louis Carl Bolon, Sonny was born June 11, 1951 in Union Hospital at Dover.He was a 1970 graduate of Indian Valley North High School in Midvale and he served two years in the United States Marine Corps. Sonny was employed by the Tuscarawas County Road and Bridge Department where he retired in December of 2005 after 31 years of service.Sonny was a member of the Alpine Bible Church in Sugarcreek where he served on the Mission Team. He was also an avid weightlifter. But his favorite pastime was spending time with his family and closest friends who will miss him dearly.He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy (Pringle) Bolon, whom he married on June 2, 1973 in Dover, Ohio; two children, Cory Gene (Katie) Bolon of Dallas, Texas and Lynsey (Benjamin) Overton of Atwood Lake; grandchildren, Austin Bolon and Corben Overton; sister; Susan Kosar of Steubenville, Ohio; brothers, Timothy Redovian and Marty Redovian of Amsterdam, Ohio; mother-in-law, Louise Pringle of New Philadelphia; sister-in-law, Ann Griffin of South Carolina; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.Sonny was preceded in death by his father, his father-in-law, Eugene Pringle, Sr; brothers-in-law, Eugene Pringle, Jr. and William Earl Pringle and a nephew, Gary Dean Campbell.Family and friends may call in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover on Friday, October 6, 2006 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Sonny’s life will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Alpine Bible Church at Sugarcreek with Pastor Byron Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Dover Burial Park. Following the committal service, a memorial reception will be held in the Alpine Bible Church.Memorial contributions may be made in Sonny’s memory to Steppin-Out Mission, P.O.
