An accomplished athlete, avid golfer and bowler, Loris married the love of his life, Norma (Murphy) Troyer on June 26, 1959, and they raised three children of whom they were very proud, Trent (Tammie) Troyer of New Philadelphia; Tami (John) Cunningham of Columbus, OH; and Trevor (Andrea) Troyer of Dublin, OH.

Loris was preceded in death by his wife Norma on May 5, 2014, his parents, brother, Dean Troyer, and grandson Andrew Nathan Troyer. In addition to his three children, Loris is survived by his brothers Jim (Pat) Troyer, and Merlyn Troyer; grandchildren Caitlin, Zach and Mark Troyer; Ben and Michaela Cunningham; Shae, Austin, Samuel, and Avery Troyer.
