Loretta Isabelle Nadeau, 94, of New Philadelphia, died Monday, August 11, 2008 in Country Club Retirement Campus at Dover.A daughter of the late Angelo and Regina (Bassetti) Besozzi, Loretta was born June 13, 1914 at Wainwright, Ohio.Loretta attended Sacred Heart School and on November 16, 1940, she married the love of her life, Gerald Nadeau. Together, the couple reared two children, Eleanor and Robert. Loretta and Gerald shared 58 years of marriage until his passing on July 6, 1999.She was a member of Sacred Heart Church where she was once a member of the Altar Society. Along with Gerald, she served as the church caretaker for 22 years. Loretta enjoyed crocheting and was an avid Bingo player. Most of all, she enjoyed having her family together in order to prepare the perfect meal for them.She is survived by her children, Eleanor (James) Menapace of Dennison and Robert (Jean) Nadeau of Dover; her grandchildren, Cheryl (Terry) Walker, Bill (Carolyn) Menapace, Karen (Sam) Distifano, Eric (Kandace) Nadeau, Susan Wiedemer and Christina Nadeau; her great grandchildren, Steven Wiedemer, Spencer, Bryce and Brynn Nadeau, Jace and Dylan Walker and Charlotte Menapace; two step great grandchildren, Peyton and Alison Distifano and a sister, Janice Myers of Louisville, Ohio.Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gerald; two sisters, Emma DeMattio and Rita Stellarini and a brother, Raymond Besozzi.Family and friends may call on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia with a Christian Wake service being held at 7:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2008 in Sacred Heart Church with Monsignor George Schlegel officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia. Following the committal service, a memorial reception will be held in the Geib Family Center at New Philadelphia.Contributions may be made in Loretta’s memory to Sacred Heart Church, 139 Third Street NE, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
