Lorene Mary Noland, 78, of Country Lawn Health Care Center, in Harmon, OH, formerly of Dover, and Moorehaven, Florida, died peacefully Friday, March 19, 2004. Born in Vanceburg, Kentucky, on October 16, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Oca Paul and Audrey Whiteman Cooper. Together with her late husband Arnold F. Noland, she owned and operated the former N & N Grill in Blue Ash, OH. Lorene was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in New Philadelphia. She loved to read, and enjoyed listening to gospel music recorded by Elvis. A talented artist, she enjoyed drawing and taking part in making crafts, especially ceramics. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars in Blue Ash.During their 44 years of marriage, Lorene and her husband raised a daughter, Sherry (Mike) Williams of New Philadelphia; and a son, Dennis A. (Patricia) Noland of Cincinnati, O. Survivors also include a step-daughter, Janice (Billy) Alexander of Waco, KY; grandchildren Angela (Carson) Castleman of Kansas City, MO, Amy (Shaun) Kinser of Mt. Vernon, O, Heather, Nathan, Dennis, and Kory Noland, all of Cincinnati, O, and Nicki (Daniel) Ball of Fairfield, O; great-grandchildren Justin, Ashlei, Hannah, Vanessa, Claire and Paige. In addition to her parents and husband, a brother, James Paul Cooper and a sister, Ramona Cooper Noland, precede her in death. Friends are invited to call Friday evening, March 26, from 5 to 7 PM at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory, New Philadelphia. Pastor Terry Kidd will lead a funeral celebrating Lorene’s life at 7 PM Friday in the funeral home’s chapel. A reception will immediately follow in the Geib Family Center, adjacent to the funeral home. Public graveside services will follow Saturday, March 27, at 1:00 PM in Hopewell Cemetery located in Montgomery, Ohio. Contributions in remembrance of Mrs. Noland may be made to Alzheimer’s Research, 1110 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland OH 44106.
