Lonnie William Hagey

Lonnie William Hagey, age 53, of New Philadelphia, passed away unexpectedly early Friday afternoon, July 13, 2012, in Metro Health Medical Center at Cleveland.

Born January 5, 1959, at Dover, he was a son of the late Joan Archinal and Dennis Leroy Hagey, Sr.

He’ll be remembered for his dedication to his customers on the delivery route he managed for more than thirty years for the Times-Reporter. At home Lonnie enjoyed tending to his garden, enjoyed bowling and following NASCAR, especially his favorite driver, Jeff Gordon.

He is survived by his loving wife, the former Lisa Abel, whom he wed December 21, 1979.

Together they reared a family that includes his three sons; Jeromy (wife, Carrie) Hagey, Dustin (companion, Olivia Meanz) and Cooper (companion, Kristen Carver) all of New Philadelphia.

He’ll be sadly missed by his siblings; Penny Graham of Carrollton, Dennis (wife, Sally) Hagey of New Philadelphia, Tammy (husband, Tom) Keister of Ft. Meyers, Florida, Danny (wife, LuAnn) Hagey of New Philadelphia, and Kenny (wife, Mary Ann) Hagey of Georgia.

Lonnie’s five grandchildren; Alyssa, Cameron, Zoey, Ashlynn and Noah Hagey, complete the family.

Friends are invited to call Tuesday, July 17, from 4-7PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Cremation will follow the public visitation.
