Lola M. Shear, 74, of Barnhill began her great rest in the arms of Jesus, on September 25, 2004 at home while being surrounded by her loving and supportive family who gathered around her bedside.She was born June 3, 1930, at Dover, Ohio a daughter of the late Robert and Alberta Barnett Sr.Lola was an active and compassionate Christian woman who was an energetic member of the Schoenbrunn Community Moravian Church, a Barnhill Village Councilperson, life-member of the former Midvale VFW, and the Democratic Party.Lola greatly enjoyed her church family and “actively” watched the Cleveland Indians. She lived for times with her family, which was her passion.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Shear, who died September 21, 1965; and one grandchild and one great grandchild.Lola is survived by her brother Bob (Connie) Barnett of Canal Fulton; her son Butch (Gayle) Shear of Tuscarawas; her daughter Brenda (Gary) Musick of Barnhill; her grandchildren Shawanna (Ron) Myers; Amber Shear; Bobi (John) Anderson; Rob (Lindsey) Musick; Bosco Shear; her great grandchildren Felicia, Kaitlin, Ramsey, and Riley Myers; Sara and Bryan Mahaffey; and Owen Marshall.Friends may call at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory in New Philadelphia on Wednesday September 29, 2004 from 4 to 7 PM followed by a memorial service with her grandson Rob Musick officiating.In lieu of flowers or any other gifts contributions may be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201West Third Street, Dover, Ohio 44622.
