Lois M. Seevers, 87, of Dover, a cherished soul who graced this world with her warmth and kindness, peacefully passed away in Cadiz, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy of love and beautiful memories.
Born in Tennessee on January 13, 1937, Lois later moved to Ohio where she flourished in both her personal and professional life. She graduated from the former Midvale High School, showcasing her dedication to education from a young age. Throughout her career, Lois contributed her talents to various workplaces, including Miller Studio at New Philadelphia and JC Penny's jewelry department. Her work ethic and unwavering kindness left a lasting impact on all those she encountered.
Lois was not only dedicated to her career, but also deeply devoted to her family. She adored spending time with her loved ones, creating precious memories filled with laughter and joy. Her gentle and welcoming personality made everyone feel cherished in her presence. She is survived by her son, Richard "Rich" Harig; sister Angel Platt; brother, Vern Brown and grandson, Justin Harig, and many other relatives and friends.
Lois now has been reunited with her father, Elmer Brown; mother, Lucille (Matlock) Brown, first husband, Melvin Harig, her second husband, Don Seevers and her daughter, Carolyn Harig. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever be treasured by her surviving family and friends.
A private graveside service to honor and celebrate the life of Lois will be held in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia has been entrusted with her arrangements.
