Lois (Levengood) Miller, age 89, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
She was the loving wife of Galen Levengood, until his passing in 1988. She was then married to Cleo Miller until his passing in 2013. She and Galen had three children; Christy Vachon, Del (Sue) Levengood and Matt Levengood (Tracy Allison). In addition to her children, she was the proud grandmother to; Derek Adams, Brady Adams, Cody (Steph) Adams, Spencer (Tanea) Levengood, Emily Levengood, and Galen Levengood; and her great-grandchildren, Shelby Levengood, Bridget Levengood, Dixie Pongratz, Aley Adams, Jack Adams, Charolette Adams and Ivy Levengood.
Lois was born to Howard and Roselia (Yant) Watts on June 7, 1933. She is a 1951 graduate of Mineral City High School. Lois was a devoted homemaker, caregiver and foster mother. The Levengood home was always open to all.
In the 1970’s Lois was Warren Township Clerk, cared for her foster children, and made many clever and beautiful birthday and wedding cakes. She was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church in Zoarville.
Her children tell the story that many her neighborhood would often say, “I have never met her, but I love that woman!” She was always in her yard working, right up to the month before she passed, she smiled and waved to everyone. Lois was such a kind and beautiful soul. Her children were blessed to have such a wonderful caring mother. She and Galen taught them love, kindness, and faith in our Lord. Her children weep because they will miss her so much, but they rejoice because she now has seen the face of God. Lois has left this body and is now rejoicing in the Heavens.
