Lois June Glauser, age 81, of New Dawn Retirement Center at Dover and formerly of New Philadelphia, died peacefully, Thursday, November 03, 2011 in Union Hospital at Dover following a period of declining health.A daughter of the late Carl A. Bente and Lois L. Morris Bente-Sheets, June, as she was known to family and friends, was born at Dennison, Ohio on October 19, 1930.She attended the former Dennison High School where she was a member of the percussion section in the band.For a number of years, June helped her former husband on the family farm and also previously held employment with Dennison Pottery, Alsco, Packer Electric and Quimby’s Bakery.June was a former member of Park Christian Church at Dennison and often attended Grace Church of the Nazarene at Youngstown, when visiting her daughter and son-in-law. Her hobbies and interests were vast and included being a fan of the Cleveland Browns, working in her yard and flower beds, exercising, often walking up to three miles a day, and caring for her dog, Faith.She was known by her family as an individual who was quick witted and funny. Her children and grandchildren adored her humor and the time she spent with them. Additionally, she had an uncanny love for duct tape and was very mechanically savvy, often fixing items in her home on her own.She will be missed by her children, three daughters, Bea (Robert) Donato of Youngstown, Sandi (Lainard) Gray of Tippecanoe, Kim (Dwayne) Jackson of Gnadenhutten; two sons, Tim (Teresa) Glauser of Port Washington and Mark (fiancé, Carol Jones )Glauser of Gnadenhutten; a sister, Margaret Pancher, and three half-sisters, Jean Stewart, Joan Cohen, Janetta Paulum.Completing the family are 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, an expected great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by an infant brother.The family will receive friends on Monday, November 7, 2011, one hour prior to services, from 10-11 AM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. June’s son-in-law, Reverend Robert Donato, will lead a service celebrating her life on Monday at 11 AM in the funeral home’s chapel. Burial will follow in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover.
