Loil K. “Butch” Kaser, 63, of New Philadelphia, died Monday, December 30, 2002 at Cleveland Clinic, following a courageous battle with cancer.Born November 28, 1939 in Berlin, OH, he was a son of the late Floyd Elmer and Thelma Hostetler Kaser. After graduating from Berlin High School, Loil entered the work force and most recently was employed at Republic Waste Services in Massillon as a mechanic. For enjoyment, he watched NASCAR on television, was great at working on cars and fixing anything around the house. He will be remembered as a caring and hard working man.Loil is survived by his wife, the former Betty Jane Bleininger, whom he married on June 3, 1961; a daughter, Annette A. (Dan) Duvall of Dover; two sons, Keith A. (Cindy) Kaser and Scott E. (Lisa) Kaser, both of New Philadelphia; one grandson, Perry M. Seevers of New Philadelphia; one sister, Alice (Truman) Miller of Walnut Creek; one brother, Dale (Vivian) Kaser of Indiana; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.In addition to his parents, Loil was preceded in death by one brother, Richard “Dick” Kaser and one sister, Brenda Kaser Geltz.A celebration of Loil’s life will be held Friday, January 3, 2002 at 11:00 AM at the LinnHert-Geib Funeral Home in New Philadelphia. Burial will be at Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia. A reception will be held at the Geib Family Center following the burial. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 9 PM at Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 W. 3rd St, Dover, OH, 44622.
