Lloyd Russell “Jim” Miller, 82, of New Philadelphia, passed away in his sleep at his home, Thursday, August 22, 2002.Born in North Lawrence, he was the son of the late Charles and Violet Stanford Miller. Jim was a 1938 graduate of Washington High School in Massillon and served with the U.S. Army1st Calvary Division during W.W.II. He was retired from the former Shenago Penn Mold in Dover where he worked as a superintendent. He was a member of the Methodist Church in North Lawrence, A.A.R.P. and the New Philadelphia VFW.Surviving is a son, Tim Miller of Las Vegas, Nevada; his good friend, Blema Clotfelter of New Philadelphia; three grandchildren, Chris (Joanie) Miller of Dayton, Anissa (Terry) Mutersbaugh of Uhrichsville and Maranda (Bill) Locke of Canton; a niece, Barbara Mast of New Philadelphia and three great grandchildren.Graveside services will be held Monday, August 26, 2002 at 12:00 PM at East Avenue Cemetery in New Philadelphia with Rev. Henry E Mooney of Roxford United Methodist Church officiating. A reception will be held in the Geib Family Center following the committal.
