Lloyd E. Schupp, 72, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, February 9, 2006 in Union Hospital at Dover following a courageous battle with cancer.A son of the late Ellsworth and Shirley (Bates) Schupp, Lloyd was born December 11, 1933 at Port Washington, Ohio.He was a 1951 graduate of Tuscarawas-Warwick High School. After 42 years of service, Lloyd retired from Union Camp in 1986.He was a member of Sharon Moravian Church where he served as an Elder and was a member of the CEC. Lloyd also visited many shut-in members of the church.Lloyd was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting deer and turkey with his sons and grandchildren. He was also his grandchildren’s biggest fan. Following his retirement, Lloyd cherished the time he and his wife spent together while traveling.He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley (Burdette) Schupp, whom he married November 12, 1953; his children, Sharon K. Schupp of Columbus, Mike (Sandy) Schupp of New Philadelphia and Todd (Jackie) Schupp of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Raymond D. (Leslie) Gibbs, Christopher W. Gibbs and his companion Kendra Jarvis, Lindsey R. Gibbs, Trenton N. Gibbs, Steven M. Schupp, Ashley N. Schupp, Shelby L. Schupp, Bryer J. Schupp and Madalyn J. Schupp; great-grandchildren, Destiny Gibbs and Arianna Gibbs; sisters, Edna (Allen) Clark of California and Vera (Homer) Roahrig of Plainfield; brothers, James Schupp of New Philadelphia and Jerry Schupp of New Philadelphia and his companion, Patty Keener of Dover and numerous nieces and nephews.Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents.Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2006 from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A service celebrating Lloyd’s life will be held on Monday, February 13, 2006 at 2 p.m. in Sharon Moravian Church with Rev. Michael Foran officiating. Burial will follow in Sharon Moravian Cemetery where the Tuscarawas V.F.W. will perform military honors. Following the services, a memorial reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall of Sharon Moravian Church.Memorial contribution may be made in Lloyd’s name to the Sharon Moravian Church Carpet Fund, P.O.
