Linda S. Vesely, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away early Sunday morning, January 27, 2013, in her home surrounded by her family, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Connellsville, PA on September 21, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Earl T. and Mary (Capanna) McKee.
Linda completed her high school education at Dunbar High School, and spent her professional career in healthcare. She worked for area nursing homes and medical offices, before ultimately spending the majority of her career at AultCare as a claims processor.
Linda’s faith was reaffirmed at Schoenbrunn Community Moravian Church in New Philadelphia.
On July 25, 1963, Linda married her true love and best friend, John “Jack” S. Vesely in Winchester, VA. Together, they raised two children, Jackie and John; and greatly enjoyed supporting and being in the presence of their 5 grandchildren.
Linda will be deeply missed by Jack; her children, Jackie (Scott) Porter of New Philadelphia and John (Michele) Vesely of Gnadenhutten; her grandchildren, Wesley, Brandon, and Adam Porter, and Dana and Lisa Vesely; her sister, Patty (Ron) McManus; her brother, Earl “Butch” (Barb) McKee; and her Yorkie, Bella. She also is survived by her sisters-in-law, Bobbie McKee, Michele Gantner, Dolores Reagan, and Peggy Layton; and her brothers-in-law, Sonny (Sandy) Vesely, Charlie Earnesty, and Joe Lukaesko. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins complete her family.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty McKee, Ruth Ann Pasulka, Donna Earnesty, and Norma Lukaesko; and her brother, Dayne McKee.
Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Wednesday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. A service celebrating Linda’s life will be held in the Schoenbrunn Moravian Church on Thursday beginning at 2 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service.
