Linda Lou Pingle, 76, of New Philadelphia, died Tuesday, March 13, 2018 in Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia following a period of declining health.
A daughter of the late Russell Emerson Bennett, Linda was born January 20, 1942 in Twin City Hospital at Dennison, Ohio.
Linda was a 1960 graduate of Uhrichsville High School and later attended business schooling.
On April 20, 1961 in Iowa, Linda married her high school sweetheart, Peter Pingle, and the couple raised two children, Lori and Peter II.
Linda and Peter owned and operated the Town Cobbler and the Quaker Resale & Pawn Shop. She also worked for the Coshocton County Probate Judge and Coshocton National Bank. Linda was a member of the Coshocton Professional and Business Women’s Group and she enjoyed reading and completing puzzles, as well as watching western movies with Peter.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Peter; her daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Dean Dessecker of New Philadelphia; her son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Karen Pingle II of Dover; two grandchildren, Nicole Dessecker of Dover and Dean Dessecker of New Philadelphia; and her beloved Chocolate Lab, Buster Brown.
In keeping with Linda’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.
