Linda Louise Holmes

Linda Louise Holmes, age 58 of Massillon, died Thursday, October 25, 2007 in Mercy Medical Center at Canton, following an extended illness. Linda’s passing comes just two days prior to her fifty-ninth birthday, and her twenty-first anniversary. She was born at Akron, October 27, 1948, a daughter of the late Thomas and Thelma Coler Thompson Jr. On October 27, 1986, she married John Holmes of Massillon, who survives. Linda will be remembered for her unique sense of humor, her warm and friendly personality, and for her love of all animals. Her family, in addition to her husband includes a daughter Wendy L. (Don) Keith of Copley, Ohio, and Charles (Vinnie) Curkendall of Perry Township; six grandchildren, Alexander Smith, Emmie and Brandon Curkendall and Charles Jr., Chris and William Curkendall; one great-granddaughter, Aniela Stachowiak; a half-brother, Gary (Bonnie) Lattimer of Tennessee; a sister, Anne (Donald) Boggs of Green; a brother, Dave (Sally) Thompson of Akron, Ohio; a brother, James (Denise) Thompson of Carrollton; a brother, Robert (Robin) Thompson of Sherrodsville; and a brother-in-law, Mike McConnell of New Philadelphia. Numerous nieces and nephews complete the family. In addition to her parents, a sister, Claudia McConnell, precedes Mrs. Holmes in death. A private family cremation service has been planned, and there will be no public visitation or services observed.
