Linda Lee Laghetto

Linda Lee Laghetto, age 82, of Dover, died Tuesday, December 14, 2021, while in the care of Community Hospice in Park Village Health Care Center at Dover.

Born on January 16, 1939, in Union Hospital at Dover, Linda was a daughter of the late Wilbur A. and Dorothy A. Davis Lewis.

Linda was a 1957 graduate of New Philadelphia High School and obtained a Bachelor of Zoology at Ohio University in 1961. Soon after she joined the Peace Corps and served her time in Brazil as a Medical Technologist. Upon her return, Linda obtained a Master’s Degree from Antioch College and ultimately retired from the former Doctors Hospital at Massillon where she had continued her career as a Med Tech.

She was actively involved with the Tuscarawas County Historical Society, loved traveling, visiting with family and friends out of state, and vacationing in Hilton Head. She also was an accomplished piano player who had a great affection for music.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Robin G. (Kevin) Christie; a grandson, Colin Christie all of Millis, Massachusetts, two sisters, Carol (Jerry) Wampfler of Florida, and Jean K. Nieciak, of Illinois, numerous nieces and nephews, and her former husband and friend, Robert Laghetto of Dover.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by a brother, David Lewis.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be led by Pastor Brian Flood in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 2:00 PM with the family greeting guests one hour prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. Inurnment will follow in the Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. Guests are invited to join the family in the Geib Family Center, adjacent to the funeral home, for a meal and fellowship following the services.
